Texas Department of Health and Human Services
The Texas Health & Human Resources system includes five agencies which operate under the oversight of the Health & Human Services Commission. The five health and human services agencies are:
Texas Diabetes Council addresses issues affecting people with diabetes in Texas and advises the Texas Legislature on legislation that is needed to develop and maintain a statewide system of quality education services for all people with diabetes.

American Parkinson Disease Association
 The American Parkinson Disease Association is the country's largest grassroots organization serving 1.5 million American Parkinson's Disease and their caregiver in three vital areas--research, patient and caregiver support, and education. 800.223.2732.

Arthritis Foundation

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

Parkinson's Foundation
 The largest and oldest national Parkinson's foundation in the United States, supporting Parkinson-related research, patient care, education, training and outreach. 800.327.4545.
